Terraria is an adventure sandbox game where you have to build, craft, mine, battle, and explore the 2D world. It was inspired by Metroid and Minecraft game.
The game takes place in a procedurally generated 2D world. You start your adventure with basic tools. To survive and create your own world, you have to mine and gather resources, craft items, and equipment, and fight monsters and bosses. Try to arm yourself with powerful weapons and upgrade your power to defeat the toughest bosses.
There are different types of enemies in the game that you need to fight. By defeating them or collecting a certain item, you can attract NPCs and occupy structures that they've built.
You can also customize your characters at the Stylist NPC or the Clothier NPC.
